1. Regulations
- Strictly a Catch and Release event.
- Must have a NSW fishing license.
- Fishing may be from boat or river bank.
- Boating regulations as per NSW Maritime.
- Two attended rods only.
- No illegal bait and equipment to be used or disqualification will apply.
- The Committee reserves the right to inspect any equipment or bait used by the competitor and eject any competitor for misconduct.
- Boats and equipment are the responsibility of the owner/s.
- Children (under 18) are the responsibility of their parents and/or guardians.
- It is Law that children and single occupants, MUST wear life jackets in boats.
- Could all contestants please travel at respectable speed to respect other fisher persons on river or bank.
- The committee reserves the right to refuse entry without reason.
- Competition Boundaries. Fishing must be within the nominated boundaries designated by buoys.
2. Measuring Fish

All Murray Cod 55cm and over and all Golden Perch 30cm and over must be photographed with your registration tag clearly visible in the photo with the entire fish. The fish must be then carefully released back to the water.
- All photographs must be sent through to HQ or presented to HQ at the conclusion of the days fishing no later than 7pm Saturday 16th March and no later than 12pm Sunday 17th March to mobile number 0474 248 592.
- In the event of a tie, the angler that caught the earliest fish wil be deemed the winner.
- Organisers reserve the right to inspect any equipment used by competitors.
- An approved brag mat/measuring device is compulsory and are available at HQ upon registration for $10.
- No fish will be accepted after the nominated closing time.
- European carp must not be released back to the water and must be disposed of by the angler.
3. Protests
- Protest must be lodged in wiriting with a non-refundable amount of $50 no later than 15 minutes after FINAL presentations.
- Committee’s decision will be final.
- There will be no refunds under any circumstances.
4. Liability Exclusion and Indemnity.
The entrant in this competition hereby acknolwedges and agrees that participation in the Echuca United Fishing Classic may carry the possibility of accident or injuries to the person or property and that risk is hereby accepted and further the entrant hereby indemnifies the Echuca United Fishing Classic Club, its officials, servants, agents and sponsors against any claims for damage costs or interest arising out of the negligent or omissions by the entrant.
Any person taking part in the event shall indemnify the officials and organisers and any other entrants for injuries loss or damage claims what so ever.
5. Registrations
Registrations will be taken at Morning Glory Resort HQ area near the boat ramp from 4pm – 9.30pm Friday 15th March and from 6am – 9am sharp Saturday 16th March.
ALL ENTRANTS MUST REGISTER BETWEEN THESE TIME TO RECEIVE THEIR FISHING TAG NUMBER.
A full debriefing will take place on Friday 15th March at 8pm opposite the boat ramp at HQ.
6. Prizes
All prize winners must be present this includes all raffles and fishing category prizes EXCLUDING the major prize by $50 entry drawn Sunday at presentations and the Early Bird entry drawn at the debriefing Friday 15th March.
